An Inside look. Empty An Inside look.

Ive been working on creating 3d stuff lately from scratch just thought some of you might be interested. this is the way i done it.

Sketched out my rough design on paper then took a photo , I then opened it in CS3
and started going round my design using the pen tool. i then made that into a selection and overlayed a gradient a basic background and some basic effects.
this is the first time i have tryed this sort of thing i think it came out ok.

This is how some pros would do it obviously there way would be way more complex and wouldnt be as rough with the pen tool but as this was just a first a attempt i didnt bother using a grid or anything to make sure my dimensions were perfectly straight.

    Rough Design:
    An Inside look. Progress

    And the finished piece:
    An Inside look. 3dexoticlogo_display

And With a Splash of Colour:
    An Inside look. 3dexoticlogo_displayCOLOR

My second attempt now worked out a bit better as i went for the more pro look.i used it for the banner and the new icons on the forum this was my finished logo design.
